Ide Hill Society Book, 6th Edition

Ide Hill: Past and Present (Sixth Edition)

The Ide Hill Society is delighted to announce the publication of its 6th edition of its book – Ide Hill Past and Present. In this latest edition you can read about Ide Hill’s early history; its development since 1800; its ecological background; its walks (including a walk/quiz specifically aimed at children), and nearby places to visit, in addition to where to eat and drink locally. It is a book to interest both residents and visitors alike.

The book includes a new introduction showing how well the village responded to the pandemic and confirming the words of Canon Baker, who was vicar here during another difficult period of history (1942-1946) that ‘Ide Hill is, indeed, a good place to live’.

It is beautifully illustrated with many fine line drawings. The book was first published in 1982 and is therefore almost 40 years old!

It is available from the Ide Hill community shop at £5.95.
